The original chocolate chip cookies that we ate when we were kids!
- 2 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks softened at room temperature)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
- 2 cup chocolate chips (12-ounce package)
- 1 cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts or pecans. If you leave the nuts out, add 1 to 2 Tbsp of all-purpose flour.)
Note
Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above.
Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool in pan on wire rack. Makes 4 dozen bars.
